Like mentioned earlier in my industry spotlight on Luxy Creation, I was honoured to be wearing one of their stunning pieces to the Shakti Awards that the fabulous ladies had gifted to me … I know pretty unreal?! Aren’t I a lucky gal 😉 If you haven’t already be sure them check out on my blog/Facebook page:
I absolutely loved my beautiful Anarkali for the Shakti Awards… It was made entirely in crepe, complemented with lace under the bust, velvet trimmings and gold sequins detailing in the chunni. I LOVED the color combination of black, gold and coral… a little unusual how such a warm color complements a color on the complete opposite side of the color spectrum hey? Gotta love the art and beauty of Indian clothes!
My hair and makeup was done by the amazing, Sharia Ali from All Done Up. We worked together to create the perfect glamorous yet elegant look; sparkly gold shadow with a muted, natural lip almost matching to my outfit and cascading curls over one shoulder. It was my first time meeting Sharia and it felt as if I had known her for ages! She is beyond a perfectionist and an absolute sweetheart, be sure to check her out as well:
As for the rest of my styling; regardless of Indian/Western occasion I always have to watch on and I play it up with some layering. I didn’t need the whole arm candy sha-bang with this particular outfit, therefore I kept it clean with a swarvoski crystal La Vie bracelet from Blue Ruby. On the opposite hand I added some spunk by mixing printed reptile bangles that I bought from H&M with classic Indian bangles. To finish off, I wore a pair of swarvoski crystal earrings in different neutral shades from La Vie as well!
What do you all think?!
