Wow… cannot believe this is my last post for #7daysofsummer, more significantly I cannot believe that summer is actually over! Such a bittersweet feeling as I love fall fashion (booties/knee high boots, trench coats, scarves, over –sized cozy cardigans, beanies…) nonetheless, I am not looking forward to freezing my little butt off due to Vancouver’s crazy, bipolar weather conditions. Also, bittersweet as I did enjoy this self-made project revolved all around my personal style and clearly it was a rewarding experience as I was presented with a few pleasant surprises and great opportunities. Now on with my final #OOTD for Day 7 …
I figured it may be nice to wrap things up on a clean, fresh and coordinated note. Is it not shocking that aside from all the glitz, glam and drama; I actually do know how to step it down a few notches?… That is on a rare occasion though ha-ha. Every season, I abide by this pattern of becoming obsessed with one specific ‘it’ color. I follow through with this obsession by means of senseless purchases to stash my closet with mandatory staples of that ‘it’ color which can be incorporated into my current, existing wardrobe. Thankfully that color of choice for last season can be easily transitioned into Fall – and that color is navy blue. I find that a pop of navy blue not only adds depth to an outfit but caters to the overall look with a sleek and sharp appeal. Consequently surprise, surpise my final OOTD for #7daysofsummer is navy blue infused!
Just last week I found the perfect pair of white skinny jeans J I was super thrilled as I have been on the search since maybe last year – no joke. Yes they were available at every fast fashion retailer but linking back to my previous post on ‘pretty plaid and ripped denim’ with jean’s it’s a definite quality vs well, anything else really. So I paired my white denim with a casual, extremely comfortable white tank top with navy blue stripes and incorporated my navy blue pumps to tie in the look together. As for accessories, I threw on a few of my Lucite bangles, a silver statement ring on the opposite hand and my thin over-sized silver hoop earrings. I finished my look with aviators, a red lip and my denim jacket in navy blue with black accented sleeves; incase Mr. Sun decided to hide out. The denim jacket is actually a fall piece that I bought from Vegas in January, hence I liked the edge that it gave to this overall OOTD and I cannot wait to incorporate it into my fall day-day outfits. And that’s a wrap!
