So let me start off by saying …. I don’t know squat about baseball. Or for that matter since we are on the subject of sports and this blog post is sports (specifically, baseball) related – I am a complete inexpert in this department and frankly choose to not make it an area of expertise 🙂 And yes, I will fully admit that whenever the Vancouver Canucks do make it into the Stanley Cup playoffs, I jump on the bandwagon. Why the hell not right?! I get my beer fix, stuff my face with pizza and wings and spend time with my family and friends. Hence, the selling point – playing dress up and assembling together an OOTD/OOTN in support of my home team 😉

Which leads us to the objective of this post … since game season is upon us, I’ve collaborated with FANATICS (the leading online one stop shop for all your ever so fashionable, sports-wear attire and accessories) to put together my interpretation of the perfect, baseball game day outfit. My challenge entailed the following – out of FANATICS vast selection of hats on their website; 45 PAGES! [http://www.fanatics.com/MLB_Hats] I was asked to pick a hat of my liking and using up to 7 pieces of clothing/accessories of my choice put together a game day ensemble. Fun right?!

HAT OF CHOICE – New Era Athletics Cooperstown Collection 59FIFTY Fitted Hat

I love everything about this particular baseball cap – classic white and black design with a bad ass elephant intertwined with baseball bats, just the right amount of a pop of color (turquoise to me screams corky and bold) and the fun prints on the flat brim.

PhotoGrid_1413439402340With this hat I would completely coordinate with navy blues, whites, a bit of black and accents of denim. My basic layers would entail white jeans with navy blue pinstripes and a navy blue t-shirt. I would then add a few layers and much-needed spunk – a distressed denim vest, a chambray shirt tied around my waist and a clean, sleek pair of sneaker wedges in navy blue and white. Keeping the accessories fairly minimal with this look, I would wear my younger brother’s G-Shock watch, a fine dainty necklace and painted lips in Riri Woo from Mac Cosmetics.

My baseball cap would be worn backwards because hallo! … that is how the cool cats where them ha-ha. Just kidding, whatever floats your stylish boat, I like them backwards 😉 And FYI the hat I am wearing in my personal style pictures is my own hat to just give you all the full glimpse of what my full game day outfit would look like!

BaseballFit_2Be sure to visit http://www.fanatics.com/for your perfect game day ensemble! You definitely do not have to be an avid sports fan to be impressed by their exclusive selection ranging from classics, vintage and ordinary styles 😉

Hope y’all enjoyed the read, have a fab day everyone! Xo.
