CARPET APPROVED: #FILMFARE2015

The star-studded affair was literally at ablaze – from the hunks to the hotties every celebrity definitely bought their style A-game forward leaving me floored with my foot in my mouth and eyes bursting out of my massive sockets. Simple explanation … this past weekend it was the glamorous, much-anticipated and extravagant annual Filmfare awards in Bollywood. I’ll cut to the chase and get right into my personal best dressed list for the evening, divided into their respective ‘Queen of’ catergories :

Queen of ‘FUSION’

– Sonam Kapoor in Anamika Khanna –

Sonam-Kapoor-in-Anamika-Khanna1

Just once I wanna see Sonam Kapoor look like a ratchet mess … is that even possible?!? Seriously, look at her. Going entirely neutral with this look from her outfit to her makeup she looked as if she was god sent that very moment – look at that sheer train! Her Sunita Kapoor signature, statement jewels with just a hint of color was the perfect finishing touch. Once again, Sona nailed it.

Queen of ‘SIMPLICITY’

– Gauhaur Khan in Mayyur Girotra –

‘Sometimes less is more’ is the perfect caption to define Gauhar Khan’s on point look. She played it safe with a classic black Girotra number with white floral intricacy alongside her hip and the train of her gown. Hence my favorite part of this look is the effortless fish-tail braid accompanied with a bold red lip and simple pearl studs. Stunning!

Queen of ‘ELEGANCE’

–  Dia Mirza in Raw Mango –

Dia-Mirza

The ever so graceful Dia Mirza owned that red carpet in a complete ethnic choice of wardrobe. When it comes to sari’s, bold, brilliant hues instantly grabs my attention and when its a harmony of two primary colors on silk fabric… I don’t think it gets any better than that. The B-town babe added another pop of color through accessories (beaded necklace, traditional jhumki’s and minimal bangles on one hand) which makes out to being Marsala. Incredibly divine!

I had an insanely tough time rounding up my favorite looks from the evening and I had quite the discussion with some Bollywood fanatics on Twitter as well. I changed my mine on a few looks that I adored the instant I came across them also .. strange how that works sometimes hey? Anyway, hope you all enjoyed my personal round-up, who made it to your best-dressed list?

PS – Now, I can focus on my Miley Cyrus’ review for her Viva Glam lipstick. ITS ABOUT TIME!
