BEST DRESSED: The Oscars 2015

I’m half asleep while writing this post so please bare with me ha-ha. No, I didn’t watch the Oscars last night as I had  a shoot yesterday and chose to kick it in my pajama’s and catch up on Vampire Diaries. However, I did take the time to lust over the handful of remarkable dresses/gowns on the red carpet. I wasn’t going to do a round-up of my favorite lovely ladies but damn was I ever absolutely floored with some of the amazing looks. This elimination process was quite the challenge but here are my 5 best dressed looks from the evening:

– JLO in Elie Saab

Simply slayed it as if she was the princess of the ball. If I could look half as good as JLO at her age I would truly consider it a blessing. God damn.

– Jennifer Aniston in Versace

Love and adoration for this lady simply because of my obsession with FRIENDS BUT if anyone pulled of a classy, crisp, nude and effortless look last night it would have to be Jennifer Aniston. Total beaut at age 46

– Scarlet Johanson in Atelier Versace–

She made my best dressed list simply because of that gorgeous and I repeat GORGEOUS statement necklace encrusted in over 2,000 Swarvoski crystals. I have come across mixed reviews on her necklace and her dress but I thought she looked ravishing and that green was exquisite was on her

– Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent

This lovely lady stepped out in a black goddess gown and bought the most impeccable definition of vintage Hollywood to the red carpet. She looks ravishing in her short locks, bold red lips and that amazing tassle necklace that belonged to the Duchess of Windsor from the 1930’s.

– Emma Stone in Elie Saab

That thigh high slit though. On point. Loved the lime green, completely embellished floor Elie Saab number complemented with a very refined hair style and that million dollar smile. Stunner.

Who made your best and worst dressed list from last night’s Academy Awards? AND ok I must add .. what in the bloody hell was Lady Gaga wearing … I don’t care how many ‘craftsmen’ worked on her dress and those ridiculous red rubber gloves, that was a JOKE.

Happy Monday lovelies!

  1. My favourites were Emma Stone and Jennifer Aniston. And I totally agree – Scarlett doesn’t look as terrible as some reviews suggested. Such a lovely colour we don’t get to see often 🙂

  2. Don’t feel bad, I didn’t get a chance to watch the Oscars either. I had homework assignments. BUT! I did ‘twatch’ and tweet with everyone else on Twitter. The styles were amazing, but I was expecting a lot more people. Reese Weatherspoon, Jamie Chung and Solange Knowles were in my top 3. For men, Common was super handsome in his suede blazer.
