CARPET APPROVED: #IIFA2015

When it comes to a HUGE awards ceremony involving the stars of Bollywood, my head is in the clouds days before as I simply cannot wait to see the phenomenal red carpet style; in this case green carpet 😉 YES. I am most definitely talking about the 2015 IIFA awards that took place this past weekend in Malaysia. I must admit that the hunks and babes of B-town have flaunted quite the boring, disappointing looks on most candid appearances this year but thankfully for the mesmerizing show-stoppers on IIFA’s green carpet; I can put Bollywood back on its pedestal for being carpet approved. Here were my personal favorite looks of the evening:

– JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ in ANAMIKA KHANNA –

One of the first looks I stumbled upon when I was creeping about to see what the babes of B-town wore to IIFA and instantly knew that it was an absolute favorite and so my type of lehenga. Kind of funny as many people are bashing Jacqueline’s look saying that her bustier was supposed to provide more coverage …. who cares! So she’s filling in the cups a bit more then the average A-C cup women; maybe she wanted to flaunt that hint of sex appeal. All in all she looks fabulous as ever – I love, love, LOVE the little cape like cover she has resting over her shoulders and that brilliant red lip. Kudo’s Jacqueline; you were quite the vision.

– SONAKSHI SINHA in MONISHA JAISING –

Who does not love this women?!?! I love Sonakshi for always daring to be different, embracing her curvy assets and always channeling her inner fashionista. Although, she made an appearance in the safest of colors; she chose an extremely daring and fierce style. LOVE: Of course the sheer, bedazzlement on the bodice, that thigh high slit and her corky styled bob. What a babe!

– MALAIKA ARORA KHAN IN ASHU STUDIO –

Now that is how you make a green carpet statement! The most refreshing factors about this look is that for once the queen of ultra sexy ditched the body-hugging, borderline provocative style and embraced a voluminous princess number. I especially admire the exquisite detailing on the gown, Malaika’s ” Yeah. I got this” attitude, her gothic black nails and those sparkly Louboutins. Hands down … she was the belle of the ball that evening.

– LISA HAYDON IN GAURAV GUPTA –

Oh. Hott. Damn. AND Oh. The. White. Goals. Put a paper bag on Lisa Haydon and she will somehow manage to pull at your heart strings and leave you breathless. Cut outs galore – slits on the side, one slit right through the middle, a plunging neckline concealed with all that glitz and glam – oh that dress. Completing her look with a fresh face of makeup, a messy up-do and minimal accessories; this Gaurav Gupta creation was most definitely made for Lisa. Forever a stunner!

– ADITI RAO HYDARI in SABYASACHI –

Aditi_Sabyasachi

Who has not been OBSESSED with Sabysachi’s new SS15 collection and in any case you have no idea what I’m talking about; google it this very second and prepare to have your socks rocked! Aditi chose a harmonious and perfect compilation of florals, plaids and literally all the colors of the rainbow lehenga. She threw her locks into a tight midi bun and kept the accessorizing completely bare. With such a masterpiece creation, who needs jewels right?! Beyond perfection.

Which of the following ladies pulled at your heart strings?? Let me know in the comments below AND …

Happy happy hump day everyone! Xo.
