#OOTD | Quirking up my #LBD

Currently Vancouver is undergoing its high-low, bipolar weather conditions of sunshine and rain drops. As much as I am absolutely stoked to hibernate into my thigh high boots, over-sized coats and cozy layers; my heart is refusing to bid adieu to strappy dresses, kimono’s and distressed shorts. Second week of September in and here I am making the greatest attempt to live out the last few days of Mr.Sun tastefully. In conjunction of breezy silhouettes and fall approved colors, I resorted to my favorite LBD from this summer and spiced up my look with some much needed quirk.

Comfort, boho chic and just a pinch of glam was effortlessly attained with this outfit. Starting with the LBD as my base, I complemented my relaxed-fitted dress with a crisp shade of navy blue pumps. My kimono of infamous python prints accompanied with beiges, teals and that brilliant cobalt blue we all seem to fancy enhanced that much needed flare to this look. AND to really captivate some peepers, I relied greatly on the miniscule details of accessories – an uber cool, gold coin necklace, a bad-ass red lipstick, a thin braided belt with gold detailing on the buckle and a lace-choker bracelet which I wrapped around my ankle instead. How’s that for quirking up a LBD? 😉

  1. Love this look! I know what you mean. It’s still hot here in Oklahoma and I’m trying to wear all of my summer clothing and bright colors before I have to put it away for the next 7 months. 🙂

  2. I love that black dress and the kimono is killer. I miss Vancouver!!! Is it getting really cold? Ottawa is cooling off quickly, which is so depressing. I love pulling out the fall clothes though. That’s a positive! Lol!

    • Thank you gorgeous! Its getting ridiculously cold here … fall took no time at all to creep up on all of us. I’m still fighting to wear my knee high boots; pulled out my booties finally a week ago. Sigh .. no more mister Sun BUT yes I adore fall fashion!

      • Me too. It’s unseasonably warm here in Ottawa right now and I’m taking advantage. While I was in TO, I tried on these gorgeous knee-high grey suede boots at Stuart Weitzman. I have been thinking about those things ever since. Honestly – the perfect fall footwear!
