Every now and then, I'll be inspired to create from the core of my heart. I'll challenge myself to creative direct, style, and tell a story through an authentic lens that ignites my passion and purpose. My love for fashion has always allowed me to flaunt shades of my individuality and express my enthusiasm for the small things that set my soul on fire. These passion projects are a gateway into the wonderful chaos in my brain and stories I pour myself into entirely.

- SUIT UP -
A personal and spontaneous styling and design project that I worked on for a few weeks before my husband and I left for our trip to Vegas to celebrate my 30th birthday and our 3rd year anniversary together. This personal project was a reminder that sometimes a little creativity, DIY, and re-purposing old treasures in your exisitng wardrobe can really go a long way. The absolute best part of this little fashion photo-shoot was that it encompassed our individual style personalities and I got to hand-make our accessories that we cherish till date.
- UNVEILED -
A world beyond the binary. Welcome to a world in which we explore the fluidity of gender and cultura identity through movement, fashion, and expression. In collaboration with dancer, choreographer, and activist, Amit Patel and our initial conversation about the trajectory of pink and blue, we created a project that was beyond our wildest dreams. By drawing inspiration from our histories and experiences, Amit and I explored different concepts and felt a deeper connection to each and every element, which allowed this project to grow organically. Our goal for 'UNVEILED' was to create something that had the potential to inspire, educate, unite, and potentially even heal. I had the honor of creative directing, styling, and hand-crafting a handful of accessories for a series of the looks.
- ONE LOVE -
'One Love' was a brand campaign for an up and coming South-Asian fusion label, House of Farola. I had the honor of creative directing, storytelling, casting the creative team, and styling all the models for this beautiful project. This campaign was shot at a time when South-Asian brands were limiting the horizons of their clientelle and shying away from adding depth to their present day fashion campaigns. Till date, I'm very grateful for House of Farola who confided in my voice, my vision, and my passion to be more inclusive and bring something new to the table. And what better story to tell, then a story of sisterhood and unity. The beauty of these images is that it truly does convey the ideology of "One Love" and as a team, we thought that, it self was beyond powerful.
- CRUELLA EDIT -
I've always loved the classic color combination of black and white and considering, its my branding colors for Namaslay Designs, I wanted to personally hand-craft and curate a signature collection of accessories for the style crusaders and noise makers. I've always been intrigued and inspired by Disney's true baddie, Cruella De Vil and her innovative take on how she so effortlessly styles black and white with hints of red in between. The live action film, Cruella really pushed my creativity to not only experiment with the duality of black and white but to also design with intention. The assignment was to take a timless neutral color palette and flip it on its head through with an edgy, quirky, and unexpected twist. I definitely exceeded my expectations of what I created as an entire collection and like most things, I l always like to take it back to the roots so I creative directed a concept and styled a Cruella De Vil fusion look with the help of my favorite streetwear brand, AGNI. In the span of a few hours, we created a DIY set in my kitchen, and shot a quick series to launch my signature Namaslay Designs collection.
- BRAND COLLAB - AGNI x NAMASLAY DESIGNS
I originally met the founder/designer of south-asian streetwear brand, AGNI, Neha Kapil through a series of Instagram DM's. We exchanged messages back and forth, praising one another's brand and commenting on how we both shared such a similar bold aesthetic. 6 months later, we decided to bring our brands (Namaslay Designs x AGNI) together and the series of photos below was a result of the looks we created in the span of a single weekend spent in Minnesota. Flash forward to three years later, we've developed a genuine friendship, launched a successful fashion collection together, and continue to work together to ignite passion and purpose through our small businesses.
- WILD SIDE - ACCESSORIES COLLECTION
My love for animal print stems all the way back to when I was five years old. Love at first sight for me was seeing one of my favorite Bollywood actresses dancing to a musical number wearing a two-piece red leopard set. And today, I own way too much animal print for my own good. This Namaslay Designs collection was my homage and tribute to my five year old self and the curious designer within who always wanted to experiment with mixed metals, mixed media, and different silhouettes. From start to finish, I designed my 'WILD SIDE' collection in four days. It was a collection that I envisioned and manifested effortlessly, that once I began the initial stages of the design process, I felt naturally in my element. This collection holds such a special place in my heart, and it only made sense to be the muse and face of it. 'WILD SIDE' collection designed, creative directed, and styled by yours truly :)
